BioChex (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates biochex.org and provides analytical laboratory services. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

  • Inquiry data. Information you submit through our contact and sample-submission forms (name, company, email, phone, sample details, project goals).
  • Report data. Sample identifiers, batch/lot, method parameters, chromatograms, results, and reviewer/QA records associated with the analytical work you authorize.
  • Verification activity. When a customer or recipient verifies a Certificate of Analysis at /verify, we record the COA queried, timestamp, and IP address for security and audit purposes.
  • Operational logs. Web server logs (IP, user-agent, request path, timestamp) used to operate the site, defend against abuse, and meet legal obligations.

How we use it

  • To respond to inquiries and provide quoted analytical services.
  • To create, review, authorize, and issue Certificates of Analysis on your behalf.
  • To support COA verification by report recipients.
  • To secure our systems and detect or investigate misuse.

Public verification

The /verify page reveals only fields explicitly marked safe for public display on a given report. Customer name, project numbers, and batch/lot are not shown publicly unless the report has been flagged as “public-safe” for that field.

Cookies and sessions

We use a single first-party session cookie to operate forms and the admin portal. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

Data retention

Issued reports and audit logs are retained for the lifetime of the BioChex record system to preserve traceability. Inquiries that do not result in services may be retained for up to 24 months and then deleted on request.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your data. We share data only with the customer who commissioned the analysis, the parties they authorize in writing, and as required by law.

Contact to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page.
